Pro Tools 11.2.1 Update Information & Downloads Issues Resolved in Pro Tools | Software 11.2.1

When using the Import Session Data command, Pro Tools no longer incorrectly copies audio files when “Clips and Media” is not selected in the “Track Data to Import” menu. (PTSW-194293)

You can now enter a new time position in the Transport Counter during playback. (PTSW-195388)

Pro Tools no longer quits unexpectedly when creating sessions from templates or importing or rendering audio from an ISIS workspace. (PTSW-195338)

You can now nudge MIDI notes after they have been marquee-selected using the Grabber tool. (PTSW-195626)

Pro Tools no longer stops working when you play back a session, and then reactivate an inactive track that contains a send. (PTSW-195172)

If “Plug-in Controls Default to Auto-Enabled” is selected, recalling settings of a multi-mono plug-in now consistently recalls the playlist values for those controls. (PTSW-194043)

  • Pro Tools 11.2.1 supports Mac OS X 10.9, 10.9.1, 10.9.2, 10.9.3 (Mavericks) and Mac OS X 10.8.5 (Mountain Lion)
  • Pro Tools 11.2.1 supports Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 7 and Windows 7 SP1
  • Avid Artist owners should update EuControl to 3.1.3 (login)
  • S6 owners should not update to Pro Tools 11.2.1 at this time

  • Pro Tools 11.2.1 software requires a Pro Tools 11 iLok authorization (license) to run
  • Pro Tools HD 11.2.1 software requires both Pro Tools 11 and Pro Tools HD 11 iLok authorizations (licenses) to run
  • Review the licenses on your iLok at or in iLok License Manager
  • See the Support section of for assistance with iLok License Manager, your iLok account, etc.


  • Pro Tools 11.2.1 is a full installer
  • If Pro Tools 11.0-11.2 is currently installed on Mac, Avid recommends selecting "Replace" when updating to version 11.2.1
  • Install the latest compatible Drivers for your Avid hardware
  • Pro Tools 11.2.1 uses a single installer for both Pro Tools and Pro Tools HD. The installation is the same for both, only the iLok authorization is different

  • The Pro Tools application is not automatically added to the Dock on Mac OS X, but can be manually added by dragging the application icon to the Dock


  • Pro Tools 11.x co-install with Pro Tools 10.x is not supported using Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks (details)
  • Pro Tools 11.x co-install with Media Composer (details)
  • Co-install of Pro Tools 11.x and Media Composer on Windows does not allow Media Composer to be a Video Satellite (details)
  • Co-installing Pro Tools 11 with Pro Tools 10.3.6 or higher, do NOT update to HD 11 Drivers if using HD Accel TDM hardware

HDX Firmware Update

  • Pro Tools 11.1.x requires a firmware update for HDX cards
  • Firmware update takes place during Pro Tools launch
  • The firmware update was tested for backwards compatibility with Pro Tools 10.3.6 and later

  • EuCon must be updated to 3.1.3 to avoid a crash on session close. (details)
