Pro Tools 11.1.3 Information & Downloads Earlier today, Avid released an update to Pro Tools 10 (version 10.3.9) and in the same day they released an update to Pro Tools 11, Pro Tools 11.1.3.

  • Pro Tools 11.1.3 supports Mac OS X 10.9, 10.9.1 (Mavericks) and Mac OS X 10.8.5 (Mountain Lion)
  • Pro Tools 11.1.3 supports Windows 8 and Windows 7

  • Pro Tools 11.1.3 software requires a Pro Tools 11 iLok authorization (license) to run
  • Pro Tools HD 11.1.3 software requires both Pro Tools 11 and Pro Tools HD 11 iLok authorizations (licenses) to run
  • Review the licenses on your iLok at or in iLok License Manager
  • See the Support section of for assistance with iLok License Manager, your iLok account, etc.


  • Pro Tools 11.1.3 is a full installer
  • If Pro Tools 11.0-11.1.2 is currently installed on Mac, Avid recommends selecting "Replace" when updating to version 11.1.3
  • Install the latest compatible Drivers for your Avid hardware
  • Pro Tools 11.1.3 uses a single installer for both Pro Tools and Pro Tools HD. The installation is the same for both, only the iLok authorization is different

  • The Pro Tools application is not automatically added to the Dock on Mac OS X, but can be manually added by dragging the application icon to the Dock


  • Pro Tools 11.1.x co-install with Pro Tools 10.x is not supported using Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks (details)
  • Pro Tools 11.1.x co-install is now supported with Media Composer and 7.0.3 and higher using Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks
  • Co-install of Pro Tools 11.1.3 and Media Composer on Windows does not allow Media Composer to be a Video Satellite (details)
  • Co-installing Pro Tools 11 with Pro Tools 10.3.6 or higher, do NOT update to HD 11 Drivers if using HD Accel TDM hardware

There have been many Issues Resolved in Pro Tools 11.1.3 Video Fixed several issues that could cause play/pause loop and missing codec errors with the Avid Video Engine. (PTSW-192437, UME-1037) MXF AVC-Intra video can now be imported into Pro Tools. (PTSW-191562) Fixed a case where the Video Engine was unable to create thumbnails for the video track. (UME-1038) Fixed a case where Pro Tools would not engage in playback when video track is online. (PTSW-191953) Video engine errors no longer occur if you are looping audio where there is no video file. (PTSW-190278) Fixed an issue that could cause "There was a problem stopping Pro Tools" error. (UME-1011) Switching users on OSX without a reboot no longer causes the video engine to fail to launch.
